Walnut Pie is a brand that started from a basement. Suparna and Nagaraj, the founders, work on interior design and architectural products. They have had the dream of starting an eco-friendly home decor line for 30 years now. In their 50s, they established Walnut Pie to upcycle the timber offcuts and other pieces of material left over from these projects, which would otherwise end up in the trash. The brand tries to be as eco-conscious as it can be in its approach - with paper packaging, reusing and upcycling material and not letting anything go to waste. And the products that come out of it are elegant and one-of-a-kind. Suparna designs all the products, and Nagaraj handcrafts each piece. The team is completed by Lakshmi, the product photographer and Murugappan, the creative director who has helped bring Walnut Pie to the internet. This team of 4 is committed to making the home decor scene in India a tad bit greener.
